In the Jungle Bugs & Fixes

Start with installation and save checks, then narrow the problem to a trigger, platform, quest, or control issue.

Quick answer

Most start problems are installation or save-route problems

First confirm the content pack is installed, update and fully restart the game, then load a save that has cleared the main story ending. Return to the boat with Cobra and pass time once.

If the problem happens later in the DLC, create a manual backup, reload before the failed trigger, and check the exact prerequisite rather than repeatedly skipping days.

Platform-specific fixes

  • PS5: use Manage Game Content and confirm region compatibility.
  • Switch: use the same Nintendo user and check for corrupt data.
  • Steam: confirm the DLC checkbox, verify files, and remove unsupported launch options.
  • Steam Deck: restart, verify files, and test without outdated mods.

A quest or boss is not triggering

Check whether the preceding story, villager request, app collection threshold, or time-of-day condition is complete. The Giant Snapping Turtle chain, for example, can require additional Marinca Bloom progress and a conversation with Sato before the next-day trigger appears.

1

Back up the save

Create a manual save before testing time skips or alternate routes.

2

Revisit the quest giver

Talk to the relevant villager manually and exhaust any new dialogue.

3

Complete the visible prerequisite

Raise the required app, affinity, story, or equipment progress rather than waiting blindly.

4

Advance one cycle

After meeting the prerequisite, sleep or enter the relevant area once to test the trigger.

FAQ

DLC Bugs questions

Should you reinstall the whole game first?

No. Restart, verify the DLC entitlement and check the save requirement before using a full reinstall.

Is Skip to Jungle a bug fix?

It is a separate start route. It can confirm that the content is installed, but it does not repair a broken completed-save trigger.
