Duff's normal weapon collection does not become your Utara arsenal. The DLC gives Dave the Jungle Gun and uses its own upgrade materials and local currency. Bancho Grill also has separate staff, recipes and ingredient supply.
The Jungle Gun can be used in the base-game area after it is unlocked. The broader restaurant and freshwater progression remains centered on Utara rather than converting Bancho Sushi into the Jungle restaurant.
