In the Jungle Switch & Switch 2 Guide

The content and start requirements are the same on both Nintendo systems; most problems come from an incomplete download, the wrong user, or the wrong save.

Quick answer

Install the add-on, restart, then load an ending save

On Switch or Switch 2, download In the Jungle under the Nintendo Account that owns or can use the base game, fully close the software, and reopen it. Load a completed Epilogue save and return to the boat with Cobra.

If the eShop add-on is installed but the trigger never appears, verify the user and game region, check for a base-game update, and restart the console before trying the completed save again.

Install the correct Nintendo add-on

Open the game's eShop page

Use the same Nintendo user that owns DAVE THE DIVER and confirm In the Jungle shows as purchased and downloaded.

Check for corrupt or incomplete data

From System Settings, open Data Management and check the software. Redownload the add-on if the system reports a problem.

Update and restart

Highlight the game, press Plus, run Software Update, then close and reopen the software.

Use the correct save on Switch

Continue from the profile and save that cleared the base-game ending. The normal trigger does not fire on an unfinished save. If that save belongs to another Nintendo user, either switch users or choose New Game → Skip to Jungle on the current profile.

What to do when the DLC is missing

  • Make sure the add-on and base game come from compatible eShop regions.
  • Restart the console after a release-day or overnight download.
  • Look for the Jungle title-screen art as a recognition check.
  • Use the completed Epilogue save, not an earlier manual slot.
  • Use Skip to Jungle only after backing up saves you want to keep.

Can you use a Switch 1 save on Switch 2?

Yes when the save transfer completed correctly. Recheck the transfer if the DLC is installed but only a new or unfinished save appears.
