Unlock the Bug Net, then Insectagram

Accept Lipah's Fireflies

After the village introduction, speak to Lipah at the request marker. She hands Dave the Bug Net when the mission begins.

Catch and deliver three Fireflies

Before Insectagram unlocks, search Utara Village at night, approach the glowing targets, and use the handheld Bug Net.

Start The Torn Bug Net

Approach the marked beetle on the north side of the village. This Insectagram unlock attempt tears the net and sends Dave to Muna.

Meet Udo and open Insectagram

Finishing the repair sequence introduces beetle battles, adds the phone app, and supplies a Lesser Stag Beetle.

Find the last missing Insectagram entry

  • Match the empty Insectagram position to the numbered checklist instead of guessing from its silhouette.
  • For Insectagram slot 16, cut down a village tree and wait for the Stick Insect to fall out.
  • For Insectagram slot 19, return to Utara Village during daytime rain and use the Jungle Gun's net mode on the Snail.
  • Check the Insectagram dusk slots in Setah Forest for Rajah Brooke's Birdwing and Caucasus Beetle.
  • Use the Insectagram roster, then re-enter Murau Temple to reroll its shared beetle spawn and return at dusk for Metallic Stag Beetle.

Reach 50% Insectagram completion to open Udo's first boss-beetle request. After that quest, finish the regular collection to reach the 100% milestone and unlock the final Golden Tiger Beetle request.

How do I get the Bug Net?

Accept Lipah's Fireflies request after the village introduction. She gives Dave the Bug Net when the mission starts, beginning the Insectagram collection route with three Fireflies.

Why is Insectagram missing from my phone?

Bug Net access comes first. Continue until The Torn Bug Net sequence, repair the net through Muna, and meet Udo to unlock Insectagram and beetle battles.

Where is the Stick Insect?

Cut down a tree in Utara Village, wait for the insect to fall out and stop moving, then approach slowly with the Bug Net to fill its Insectagram slot.

Does the Snail count as an insect?

It fills entry #19 in Insectagram even though it uses a different capture tool. Find it during daytime rain and use the Jungle Gun's net mode.

Do the two boss beetles block normal completion?

No. Their quests follow the 50% and 100% collection milestones, so finish the regular entries first.
