Walkthrough

  1. Meet Muna after the morning story event and accept the research task.
  2. Dive into the lake and follow the mission marker to the Ancient Statue.
  3. Pick up the statue; it goes into the mission inventory rather than normal restaurant cargo.
  4. Return to Utara Village and give the statue to Muna.

CompletionMuna begins the research chain after receiving the statue.

Walkthrough

  1. Leave Dave's house when the morning knocking event plays.
  2. Speak to Cobra outside to learn that the repair needs wood and vines.

  4. Talk to Peneb to begin the material request.

  4. Talk to him to deliver the materials and start the repair sequence.

  1. Talk to Bancho after the house repair, then speak to Peneb about the grill.
  2. Follow Peneb's direction to Perak at the forge area.
  3. Gather 3 Bamboo Chunks from bamboo plants around the accessible village paths.
  4. Return to Perak and hand over all three chunks.
  5. Use the new Pickaxe on mineable boulders when the stone-gathering tutorial appears.

  1. Use the Pickaxe on marked boulders until you have 3 Stones.
  2. Return to Peneb and deliver the stones.
  3. Follow the crafting-and-placement tutorial after delivery to place the Skewer Grill for Bancho.
  4. During future services, remove skewers when the cooking indicator reaches the green zone to avoid burning them.

CompletionThe Skewer Grill and its cooking system become available at the restaurant.

  1. Visit Muna and upgrade the Purification Filter beyond its starting level. Level 2 is sufficient.
  2. Dive into the lake and watch both oxygen and filter charge in hydrogen-sulfide areas.
  3. Follow the three photo markers and complete the camera framing at each tablet.
  4. Confirm all three distinct photo objectives are checked before leaving.
  5. Return to Utara Village and talk to Muna.

CompletionMuna identifies the next piece of Sunang technology and starts Ancients' Diving Gear.

Story goalRecover a damaged Sunang breathing device and the unusual material found beside it.

Walkthrough

  1. Refill supplies and equip the upgraded Purification Filter for a deeper dive.
  2. Descend through the hydrogen-sulfide zones to the Broken Breathing Apparatus marker.
  3. Pick up the apparatus as a mission item.
  4. Collect the Shiny Stone revealed by the nearby story event before leaving.
  5. Return to Muna with both discoveries recorded.

CompletionContinue the village loop and build enough Friendship to recruit three villagers for Chapter 3.

Non-linear progression

Recruitment requirement

The forest expedition does not unlock from a single linear hand-in. Complete village requests and raise Friendship so three villagers will agree to move the boulder.
